A highlight of AG’s multifamily work the past few years has been the team’s involvement with the adaptive reuse of the historic Horlick Malted Milk Company site in Racine, Wis. with developer J. Jeffers & Company and construction partner CG Schmidt.
Arabella was the first housing project that opened in July 2021 on the 16-acre property now called Belle City Square. This award-winning project redeveloped one of the factory buildings into a mix of 60 market rate and affordable apartments.
The William is the second multifamily adaptive reuse project on the property. This recently completed project transforms an iconic clock tower building into an 86–unit, market rate apartment complex. The project team celebrated the grand opening of The William on May 3rd with local officials, community members and the press.
